Feb. 14ATV Article
Unit Owners – please find attached a news article discussing a fatality inquiry of interest to any ATV owner or operator, particularly parents of child ATV operators. In 2007, a 12 year old boy rolled his ATV as he was swerving around an eight year old and was killed. The resulting fatality inquiry has proposed a series of recommendations concerning ATV usage one of which is an age restriction. It will be up to the Province of Alberta to decide whether to legislate these recommendations.

As the Board has stated on numerous occasions, the use of ATV’s, particularly by children is of great concern and strongly urges Unit Owners and their guests to act responsibly and in accordance with the laws of this province. Although, the Board will endeavour to update changes to legislation concerning ATV usage, Unit Owners should make themselves aware of all provincial requirements regarding ATV usage.

Here is the News Article.
